We had an amazing time capturing the wonderful moments and beautiful decor at the Chinatown Foundation’s Autumn Gala. Led by Carol A. Lee, the foundation does important work in preserving cultural heritage in Vancouver’s historic Chinatown while focusing on long term positive impact on affordable housing, seniors housing and economic development in the neighbourhood. While we have noticed this event in the previous years, it was an honour to be commissioned to photograph the event and it did not disappoint. It was a pleasure to work alongside some of the best in our city and seeing them do their thang: Sophie Liu taking on the emcee role, Fred Lee doing his thing with the live auction portion as always, Carol Lee’s inspiring words at the podium, Sponsor RBC’s Martin Thibodeau’s words, Marie Hui on the mic to kick off the event! And of course, seeing some of the legends of the Vancouver-Chinese community in the room like Goh Ballet’s Chan Goh, Vancouver Mayor: Ken Sim, and many more! Congratulations on a successfully amazing event to the team!
