Love, love, love Erica and Clive! Chris had the pleasure to work with this oh-so-cute and very gracious couple! They were both all smiles the entire day and as a wedding photographer, one could not ask for a such a pleasure of a “work” day! Yes the word “work” should be in quotes because it certainly doesn’t feel like it when you get to work with awesome couples all the time and Erica and Clive are no exception to this! The day started off with the getting ready on the bride and groom’s sides and then into the very important traditional Chinese tea ceremony. For those of you that do not know, the tea ceremony is very important in paying respect to the bride and groom’s elders. Erica looked lovely in her “Chiong Sam” (traditional Chinese dress) of course! We then headed off to the Celebration Pavilion (a popular but always fantastic spot for a wedding ceremony) for part 2 of the getting ready where Erica got dressed in her beautiful Western wedding gown. The groom and bride-to-be arranged for their first look just behind the venue at Queen Elizabeth Park where Clive was just so touched as soon as he got his first glimpse at his beautiful bride. After a lovely ceremony we made our way to Steveston and then Antique Alley in New Westminster for their bridal portraits. This is how great the couple is… we got so many great cute shots as well as some fashion-y ones as well! After our little photo session we headed off to Kirin Starlight Restaurant in New Westminster – definitely one our favourite reception venues! Some would think it’s with a bit of bias that I say that because we had our wedding reception there as well a few years back; HOWEVER… even if we didn’t choose that venue for our wedding, I can honestly say it’s still one of my favourites with their modern decor, great customer service, and fantastic food! The evening was so much fun that it was over before we knew it! Erica… Clive… Here’s to many, MANY happy years ahead and a big congratulations to you both! Thank you for letting Butter Studios be a part of your special day.
