The word “nice” doesn’t even begin to describe this super cool couple: Debbie and Iqbal! It was amazing getting to know them from the start of their wedding planning journey, to the engagement session, to the maiyan ceremony, to their big day!
I’ve said it before and you’ll hear me say it again, I LOVE working with genuinely lovely people. Debbie and Iqbal’s wedding was a beautiful amalgamation of two wonderful cultures. Their traditional Sikh wedding ceremony took place at the Akali Singh Temple in Vancouver and their dinner reception was at the Riverside Banquet Hall in Richmond. The weather was a combination of sprinkles and sun but the rain held off nicely during their portrait session at the Richmond Oval.
The day was a true combination of cultures, with a tea ceremony on Debbie’s side, the welcoming of the bride at Iqbal’s house, performances from Chinese Lion Dancers and Indian Banghra Dancers… there really was no shortage of entertainment for all of the guests.
It was a glorious day. Absolutely one to remember! Congratulations to Debbie and Iqbal once again!
